Description
El Molino Viejo (The Old Mill) is located in the coastal town of San Quintin on the Pacific shore of the northern Baja California. The Molino Viejo is used by sport fishermen as a launching site. The building, now a restaurant, is the remains of the old grist mill which had been built by the British in the 19th century. San Quintin was colonized by the English, having been purchased from the American owned International Land Company. The colonist farmers were devasted by a drought and the British left. This print is from a series of woodcuts done by Taylor of the Baja.
