This unusual portrait holds few clues as to the date of its execution and even fewer as to who made it. The style is at once early German Expressionist, Japanese Modernist, and timeless enough in subject and color to apply to more a contemporary time. What is known for sure is that it was made before 1980 and that it's been printed using a baren

on very delicate, tissue laid. The image is strange and arresting, showing a woman bathed in eerie moonlight who looks directly at the viewer.
