Windswept Eucalyptus is from the first series of color woodcuts that were inspired by Baumann’s Spring road trip along the coastline of California in 1928. This impression is from the first printing of 28 impressions in 1928 and has the dark solid border around the image. In May 1936, Baumann recut his blocks and printed impressions 29 through 66 (which he numbered over 125). In the later impressions the dark solid border and window in the lower right were omitted.
