Description
This was Baumann’s greeting card for 1950. It relates to his woodcut Matthew 7:13 which he published in December 1950. On Friday, 8 December 1950, the Santa Fe New Mexican reported that Baumann made his woodcut to benefit the Quakers. He offered impressions of Matthew 7:13 at five dollars apiece, and the entire proceeds from any sale would benefit the American Friends Service Committee. Jane Baumann was a practicing Quaker.
