Francis Bernard Shields was born in 1908 in New York City, and he was most known for his lithograph prints. He also expanded his skills with screen printing, painting, and illustrating. He studied at Columbia University, and he exhibited at the University of Kansas in 1939, Garden City, New York in 1943, WPA Gallery in New York.
