According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, Canadian Rockies, segment of the Rocky Mountains, is a mountain range that extends southeastward for about 1,000 miles from northern British Columbia, Canada, and forms nearly half the 900-mile border between the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. About fifty peaks in the Canadian Rockies surpass 11,000 feet, including Mount Robson, Mount Joffre, Mount Assiniboine, Mount Columbia, and Mount Forbes.
