Description
Burr easily mastered printmaking techniques and created stunning effects in black and white. Luminous clouds brighten and texture the darkening sky as evening unfolds over the mountains and the valley of the Sonoran desert. Evening Cloud, Arizona (no. 2) was part of The Desert Set consisting of thirty-five etchings created over many years. Burr copyrighted the last impressions from the set in 1921.
