Though a simple figure study, Han Burkhardt's pastel drawing of one female figure repeated is more of a display of style differentials as they emerge from the mind and hand of one artist. One shows an Expressionist form with classic line and shading techniques, while the other is the same form distilled into a Cubist form whose minimalist lines are highlighted by bold strokes of color.
