Bruce McGrew lived in Rancho Linda Vista in Oracle, Arizona, near Tucson. Primarily a painter McGrew drew inspiration from the landscape around him - the desert and washes and the flora. The Santa Catalina mountain range provided endless fascination for Bruce.
In this large color lithograph McGrew captures much of the aesthetic he achieves with his watercolors, the drama of the mountains in the distance, the color washes of the desert and the dramatic sky that can change in seconds in the Arizona desert.
McGrew teamed up with publisher and Master Printer Joseph Segura at Segura Arts Studio, at that timelocated in Tempe, Arizona to do a pair of large color lithographs which were printed in proofs only.
