One of Austin's signature prints, this impression is unsigned but is annotated by the artist "Rough trial pull" and appears to be a rare impression of the 8th state of nine, with the bell and shadow in the lower landing removed but before additional work on the foot, cheek, neck and clothing. The verso of the sheet has "T.P. Hoskins" typed in the lower margin.
