This is a reproduction of a Braque that was included in the "UNESCO Traveling Print Exhibition - From Impressionism Till Today" in 1948 - 49 and was printed for UNESCO by Twin Editions, New York. The exhibition included specially printed, high quality reproductions of 50 works by Bonnard to Vlaminck, "Anemones" was number 3 in the series.
The exhibition included an extensive 6 page introduction by Rene Huyghe and toured the world. The Forward stated: "This exhibition of colour reproductions is the first of its type to be prepared by Unesco. Confined to artists who have made significant contributions to world art since 1860, it attempts to illustrate important trends in painting to Impressionism till the present day. In any exhibition restricted by necessity to a maximum of 50 paintings."..."The reproductions included form the first selection to be made from the Unesco Archive, which is now being created to include all available high quality colour reproductions of important periods and phases of painting.
