Description
Sculptor and painter David Best would become more recognized for his work in creating temporary structures for the annual artists' festival, Burning Man, than for his fine art. However, he has an extensive work and exhibition history rooted in the San Francisco Bay Area, with particular focus on his ceramic and found-object sculpture. Many of Best's early sculptural works mediate on other-worldly beings, creatures whose bodies and faces resemble a menagerie of species.
