Clay Walker's work often features an explosive kind of energy, as seen here with the outward trajectory of bright shapes emerging from a dark background. As well, he frequently focused on combinations of primary colors, and the effect in "Moon Wall" is one in which the interplay between tightly contained spots of pure color set against gradations of black and white is what grabs the viewer's attention.
