This drypoint captures the spirit of 18th century California with its Spanish style missions. This is the mission at San Juan Capistrano, which was the seventh of the California missions and was founded in 1776. It is designated as the Jewel of the Missions and was named for St. John of Capistrano, a 14th century theologian.
