Description
The location is Santa Barbara, California. Nine palm trees stand as stately sentinels along the shore of the Santa Barbara harbor. In the distance is the historic Stearns Wharf. The pier was built in 1872 at the cross section of the end of State Street and Cabrillo. It became the longest deep-water pier between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Today it is a major tourist attraction with restaurants and the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center.
