Description
Lithographed text below this self-portrait frontipiece reads:
"I was born on a February day in 1934. Though Mexico City is always chilly, they tell me it was an unusually harsh winter. I was taken to a building in Triumph Alley, where my family lived over a paper mill. My first recollection is of paper trimmings, scattered over the floor like fallen streamers and confetti from the paper puncher. It was always carnival time at my house. It was always February too and this caused me to be reborn every day. 5.9-62"
