Description
This rare lithograph of Santa Rosa, California from 1885 is mounted to foam core, there is a water stain on the right margin and discoloration above the inset of the McDonald Mansion. There are 1-1/4 to 1" margins around the image. This impression is one of a group found in an attic in Santa Rosa in 1969, during earthquake clean up. They all had similar damage. An offset of this was later reproduced for a promotion. This was printed by: "Elliott & Co./Lith./Oakland/CA LA." (in plate). An earlier bird's eye of Santa Rosa was done in 1876 and published by Bancroft & Co.
