Description
Thornton's "Forest", created around the time when she was studying at the Atelier 17 in Paris, is nearly three dimensional via the use of open-bite etching. Later in her career, Thornton would become known for her architectural studies and cityscapes, and the textures she coaxed from the plates in her careful process.
