Description
Allen Lewis, who showed in Paris with Whistler and Pennell and was part of Steiglitz's circle in New York, did this woodcut of a Native American artist painting on a hide. This woodcut was illustrated on page 161 of "The New Woodcut" of 1930, published by Malcolm Salaman for The Studio.
