Description

This impression is a 2 color trial proof done in 1955. Evidently Oliveira continued to work on the stone for and additional 2 years and, according to the artist, he intended to sell an edition of it to AAA. However he was only offered $2.00 an impression for "a color print, well-made."

Oliveira couldn't stand the idea of having to print an edition of 50 for a lousy hundred bucks, so he told AAA to forget it and he settled on a final edition of 15.
