Motherwell did this 5 color lithograph, printed in offset by A. Colish, Mount Vernon, NY under the supervision of Ken Tyler, for the Stanford Law School in 1975. There is an edition of 200, like this impression, that are signed and numbered. There was an unsigned commercial run of 300 with the following text beneath the image: "In Celebration, Stanford Law School, September 26-27, 1975." The commercial run was commissioned to announce the opening of the new Stanford Law School building and is a reproduction of a unique work that had been commissioned for the Law School.
