A Great Encourager of Arts. / This Plate in Acknowledgement of his Many favours. is dedicated by his Most Obedt and Most humble Servant B/. Baron" Bernard Baron was born in Paris and studied engraving with Nicolas-Henri Tardieu. He engraved several plates for the Crozat Collection. He moved to England where he did work for the Boydells (such as this) reproducing master paintings. He died in England.
